somebody told me this was good beer when it first came out. at the time, i just drank bud and corona. since, iv’e been on a quest for the best beer i can find at the specialty beer stores. i always come back to shiner but i occasionally enjoy a newcastle or dos equis dark on draft

I think this is one of the best drinking beers on the market. This is a great substitute for the bud light type drinkers out there. I enjoy this beer with friends and it is always a good SEC football tailgate beer and a good poker beer too.

Goodness! There is not a beer superior to Shiner Bock. Truly all you must do is taste one. I told a young man that from Pa. next I saw this in GQ magazine. Good but not sufficient. If you would know the rest of my promotion contact me. Don’t minimize this extraordinary delight. Come on think- with a cheese steak, with a Philly pretzel,With a Chicago deep dish pizza,on a California beach, the south of France, a calzone. but the promotion must connect with the common man as well as those who savor satisfying taste. THINK!

I’ve been drinking Shiner (and Gilley’s) all my life, and visited the brewery a couple of times…but, if I ever knew how, I have forgotten how to pronounce the name of the brewery, Spoetzl. Please help!

We didn’t actually drive to Shiner, we were just a little “loose” in our language by saying we hit the Spoetzl Brewery, which we did in just a virtual and visceral sense of the word.
For your NC road trip Raleigh hosts the World Beer Festival in early October and that would be ideal.
And Beer Babe – have no fear – we do have something special for 100 – it’s near and dear to our hearts and it’s often requested on the site. And it’s coming this week!
